Brian Glennie

Managing Director, Powered By Ltd

Brian is the founder and Managing Director of Powered By Ltd. Previously he was co-founder and Managing Director of The Leadership Factory, which was successfully sold to Gi Group Spa in 2022, at a point where it was the largest Scottish based coaching and leadership consultancy. 

Previously he worked as a senior leader at Mitsubishi Corporation where he spent considerable time working as a senior engineer and a business leader.

Brian has a significant breadth and depth of experience, and his specialisms include delivering individual and team coaching development, as well as leadership skills, to both leadership teams and high potential future leaders across many sectors including manufacturing, engineering, tourism, financial services, biotech and games development. 

Brian continues to be driven by his own self-development, and he works at the cutting edge in his field. For example, he has immersed himself in the area of neuroscience since 2019 and has co-created a team coaching approach with Belbin UK with a group of expert team coaches.

Mary Ann has been working as a coach for over fifteen years.  Her clients trust and rely on her ability to quickly establish a supportive space within which a team, or individual, can safely share their workplace ideas, concerns and ambitions.  She listens, observes, questions, and reflects back during the coaching conversation.  She keeps the focus on the goals agreed at the outset of the coaching session or series, helping re-articulate and adjust these goals as needed. 

Mary Ann coaches leadership and senior management teams, with particular experience in coaching pairs and trios in shared co-Chief Executive roles.  Her clients currently range from founder-led private companies to medium scale charities.  As an organisational development consultant to arts organisations alongside her coaching practice, she has a solid understanding of and respect for fast-paced, creative and entrepreneurial organisations.

With an MSc in International Business from Birkbeck, and a PhD in Organisation & Human Resource Management from Warwick Business School, Mary Ann takes an evidence-based approach to her ongoing professional development, most recently attaining accreditation as a Team Coach with Belbin and the Association for Coaching. 

Mary Ann regularly works in person across London and the Midlands/South East of England, and further afield with notice.  She often coaches teams online, and is well versed in using video platforms to their full advantage when working with remote teams and to support those with additional access needs or flexible working patterns.
