Joining Instructions

The Belbin Team look forward to welcoming you to Hinxton Hall Conference Centre for the Belbin International Team Conference 2024 on 16th & 17th July.

To assist you in planning your attendance at the Conference please find supporting information below.

On both days delegate registration will open at 8.45 am (tea and coffee will be available).

The formal Programme will begin in the auditorium at 9.30 am sharp.

All delegates are provided with a Visitor Access Pass (download a pdf here )to show on arrival to gain access to the Campus. Delegates names will be on a list at the gate.

 

There is free WiFi available for all delegates. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Parking

The Hinxton Hall Conference Centre Car Park is a shared car park amongst all events taking place at the Conference Centre. It is based on first come, first parked. The venue cannot guarantee parking and is unable to reserve parking.

 

The venue asks delegates to take note of the Campus minibus shuttle service between Whittlesford Parkway railway station and the Campus (details of Shuttle Bus times can be found on the Visitor Access Pass).

 

Blue Badge Parking: please contact the venue directly if you require this and they will arrange it for you.

 

EV Charging: There are 2 sets of charging stations onsite located in Car Parks A and E (see site map).

Visitors can use the charging points in both car parks between 7pm and 7am. Scan the QR code on the side of the charging point to instigate a charge.

If you already have the Egg/Monta App on your phone, you can alternatively instigate the charge through the app.

Accommodation

For delegates whose Conference Ticket includes B&B accommodation at Hinxton Hall for the night of Tuesday, 16th July 2024, they can access rooms as follows:

 

Check-in from: 14.00 hours on Tues 16th July

Check-out by:  10.00 hours on Weds 17th July

 

There will be the option to leave your luggage at reception (tags will be provided) during the morning of Tuesday 16th July and after check-out on the Wednesday. Please talk to members of the Belbin team on the day. 

 

Occupancy is on a single-occupancy basis (unless otherwise arranged in advance).

 

Breakfast: served from 7.30 am – 9.00 am in the Dining Room.

Alternative Acommodation

For delegates whose ticket does not include accommodation, there are alternatives nearby as well as in Cambridge and Saffron Walden. We cannot make any specific recommendation.

Cambridge centre: The venue is about 30 minutes’ drive from Cambridge, but we would recommend allowing at least 45 minutes in rush-hour. Link here.

Saffron Walden: A 15 minutes’ drive (and a beautiful Essex town, voted one of the best places to live in the UK this year). Link here.

 

 

Photography & Filming

For the duration of the Conference there will be photography and filming activities taking place both day and evening.

This material will be used by Belbin to create materials relating to the conference and will be used in various ways, including but not limited to, publication on the Belbin website, use on Belbin social media channels, promotional materials for future conferences.

If any delegates have any concerns about being included in any photographs or videos, they should advise [email protected] before the start of the Conference.

On each day there will be 4 workshop streams. In each stream there will 3 workshops running concurrently.*

Delegates are asked to choose which workshops they would like to attend in advance so numbers can be managed.
