Belbin is proud to announce the details of its highly anticipated International Team Conference, taking place at Hinxton Hall near Cambridge on 16th – 17th July 2024.

A comprehensive programme will bring together international experts in transforming teams.

The Belbin International Team Conference promises a dynamic programme featuring professionals and experts from across the globe, presenting cutting-edge insights and sharing real-world experiences and applications of using Belbin to transform teams across different industries.

Belbin Team Roles is synonymous with identifying and understanding the strengths individuals can bring to a team, and how those useful behaviours can be managed on a practical basis to develop effective teams. Belbin is used across the globe in 100+ countries and the suite of Belbin reports has been translated into over 25 languages.

The 2-day conference will provide leaders, managers, HR and L&D professionals, start-up founders – anyone who works with teams - with tangible and practical take-aways around managing and overcoming the challenges they can face when building and developing teams.

The diverse agenda includes keynote presenters, leaders in their field, who will be sharing their expertise. Deepak Deshpande, VP & Head Customer Experience at Tata Business Excellence Group, who will talk about “The ‘How’ of Delivering Business Excellence”. Gary Shewan, Retail Learning & Development Business Partner, will share how Legal & General used an approach using Belbin to achieve not one, but two Princess Royal Training Awards. Harry Thullier, a Co-founder at Oppo Brothers, a UK based start-up success story, will share his experience of developing successful teams to support company growth.

There are over twenty workshops on the programme over the two days covering a broad range of topics including team psychological safety, the power of team dynamics, experiential learning, building healthy organisations in complex and changing environments, and effective decision making in recruitment. Case studies also feature, such as the use of Belbin with a major contractor to the US Department of Energy.

Managing Director of Belbin, Jo Keeler said: "After the break in being able to host face-to-face conferences, I am absolutely delighted that we have been able to put together such a wide-ranging programme for this conference. It really will put ‘teams’ centre stage.

Teams are the crucial link between strategy and execution for businesses, and it is more important than ever to get their teams working better together. Belbin is all about teams. It gives people a trusted and practical language to understand their contribution to the team and gives the manager a usable framework to understand what contributions the team needs. We know that Belbin can help all teams work better together.

The global applicability of Belbin is clearly demonstrated by the geographical spread of the speakers and workshop facilitators we will welcome to Cambridge in July. We have experts from Australia, New Zealand, America, India, Sweden, China, the UK and more coming to the city to share their knowledge, real-world experiences and inspirational success stories with delegates. Whatever the size of their organization, their industry or current situation, we hope that the valuable practical knowledge and inspiration that delegates will be able to take back to their workplace will help make a real difference to the future success of their teams.”

The conference will be held at Hinxton Hall Conference Centre, set in the grounds of the Wellcome Genome Campus at Hinxton, near Cambridge.

Full details are available at and early bird ticket rates for both one or two-day tickets are available until 1st May 2024.
