Discover your team's 'why'

Before you can help a team, you need to understand it – its purpose, structure, strengths, and challenges.

The more you uncover early on, the more likely you are to find out why support is really needed.

Belbin Team Conversation Cards are designed to kick-start those vital conversations.

They’re built around the top questions recommended by Belbin Accredited practitioners—those essential things you need to ask.

It’s not an exhaustive list, but it covers the must-haves.

We’ve also included some blank cards so you can add your own.

Use the cards flexibly: in 1:1s with a manager or with the whole team. You can pre-select questions or let the group choose.

Follow a set order or go with the flow.

You probably won’t use every card in one session, so our top tip: pick wisely.
